Newtown Railway Station Redevelopment
JHA Consulting Engineers were engaged to provide full design for electrical (LV) services associated with the Newtown Railway Station refurbishment.

The Newtown Station upgrade works included: a new concourse building complete with staff facilities, public amenities, ticket office, lifts and stairs access to platforms, refurbishment of an existing heritage building containing 10 retail premises, a new public forecourt and new station platforms.
Following full design for the electrical, communications, fire and security components, JHA provided construction documentation and was subsequently novated to the successful contractor under the D&C contractual agreement.
Key design achievements for this project included: One of the first stations in Sydney provided with full station LED lighting systems through all areas of the station as well as overcoming all constraints associated with designing electrical systems for a heritage listed building within Railcorp corridor.
