King’s College receives Mechanical and Electrical Engineering consultancy

King’s College can accommodate 317 women and men who attend the University of Queensland and other Brisbane-based universities.

Originally situated at Kangaroo Point in Brisbane’s inner city, the college relocated in 1955 to the St Lucia campus of the University of Queensland.

The College grounds are beautifully manicured with a leafy green setting and overlooks Brisbane River. Residents have free access to an 18 metre swimming pool and a fully equipped gymnasium.

The project was a refurbishment upgrade of the college lounge and activity rooms, including a brand new student bar.

JHA Consulting Engineers Queensland delivered Electrical engineering and Mechanical engineering services to the University of Queensland’s King’s College.

Our project focus was to improve the lighting through direct and indirect means, with services hidden behind mechanical exposed fabric ductwork.

General mechanical audits on existing services and installations, such as air conditioning and ventilation systems.

In addition, electrical building services such as general power, low voltage distribution, communications and emergency systems were delivered.
