We collaborate closely with our clients, architects, and other design partners to establish a strong visual narrative through the core principles of light.
Our approach combines creativity with pragmatism and ensures that all solutions are aesthetically pleasing and sustainable. We work collaboratively to develop a unique narrative for each environment by playing with light, shadow, intensity, and texture enhancing users’ experience.
Understanding the complexity of the built environment is second nature to us. We take the time to consider closely how light sources are integrated and concealed within the building fabric, so surfaces and spaces can be revealed. We are focused on the subtleties, and are committed to refining the details to provide a bespoke solution for our clients.
THE DESIGN PROCESS
We believe that light helps tell a story. It shapes our experience and memory of a space. Our unique approach to design allows us explore the potential a space can have to influence and alter our perception and experience of our environment.
To achieve this, our design process is more hands on than you might think. There is a physical aspect of our lighting design process that has lead us to develop a deep understanding of materials and a confidence with working within the parameters of light. Our toolkit includes pencils and butter paper most days, but we are also fluent with illumination simulation, intelligent modelling and visualisation software too.
From sketching and testing ideas, trialling samples to full scale mock-ups we ensure our design solutions are well tested and robust. Our bespoke lighting solutions add a personalised element to a space that delivers a truly unique feature to the project.
